Originally developed by the Atlanta Botanical Gardens this substrate blend has been a mainstay in the vivarium and invertebrate hobby throughout Europe and The USA ever since.

This substrate is designed to facilitate optimal plant growth in vivariums/terrariums by resisting compaction and providing great aeration and moisture retention .

These small air pockets created make it ideal for maintaining microfauna populations in bioactive enclosures.

Contains no harmful pesticides or fertilizers which are found in most commercially available soils
