Arbanitis longipes (Long-legged trapdoor or Brisbane tube spider)
Arbanitis formerly Misgolas is a very large group of “trapdoor spiders” containing 61 currently described species with many times this yet to be formally recognised.
Arbanitis longipes is often found living in colonies of tube burrows in damp clay based soils. This species has been kept quite successfully in communal setups by several keepers, but as always with keeping predatory invertebrates together there is the risk of cannibalism.
Caresheet:. Mygalomorph caresheet
